Corinne Miesfeld was sworn in as a Commissioner of the San Diego Superior Court on Friday, April 09, 2010. Miesfeld, 45, has been with the San Diego District Attorney's Office since 1992. She worked in numerous divisions within the District Attorney's Office including Superior Court, Narcotics, Family Protection, Economic Crimes and Insurance Fraud. In addition, she served as a prosecutor at the South County and Juvenile Courts. Prior to joining the District Attorney's Office, Commissioner Miesfeld worked in private practice from 1989-1992.
Commissioner Miesfeld earned a Juris Doctorate from the California Western School of Law. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Political Science) from Montana State University. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Commissioner Sandra Berry. Commissioners are selected by the judges of the court and are given powers to hear and make decisions concerning certain legal matters.
